Goals in Personal Finance

By the end of this course the students will be able to:
1. Understand the fundamentals of budgeting, saving and credit.
2. Apply personal finance concepts to real world scenarios and build long-term financial well-being.
3. Identify factors that affect personal financial decisions.
4. Explain how financial planning can help you achieve your financial goals.
5. Identify and understand the significance of standard financial documents that will be used in the real world.

 

Class Expectations:

1. Student engagement in class assignments, projects and discussions.
2. Students are expected to be on time and prepared.
3. Students are expected to listen actively and show positive support positive towards peers.
4. Students are to be ready to apply their knowledge and use critical thinking skills in scenarios.

Key Policies

1. Regular attendance is expected; absences may affect work.
2. Assignments are to be turned in a timely manner; excuses must be valid and will be verified.
3. Plagiarism is unacceptable and will cause for consequences from administration.
4. Technology should be used for school purposes only.
5. Questions and concerns are encouraged within the classroom, but students can reach out to the teacher by email or during planning periods.
